Short-term Plans
Our plans for the Beta stage is to port all the features of the
launcher tool WolfR4 into Re-Volt v1.2. The User Interface features
of WolfR4, such as the ability to directly change Re-Volt options
from WolfR4 interface, could be ported into the lobby launcher tool
RVHouse.
We will also introduce new features now and
then, along with the planned WolfR4 features.
Features of Phoenix R3 will also eventually make its way into the
new Re-Volt update. This way, we want to put together the ideas
fragmented around the Re-Volt community, along with our own.
Long-term Plans
- Update the game engine to meet the current standards.
- Allow full customization, additional game modes and downloadable
content.
- A full featured development environment built inside Re-Volt, with
complete documentation.
- A better network connection based on Winsock, for
compatibility with routers and wireless adapters.
- An active Multiplayer server and desktop application for
connecting and playing online.
- A working Re-Volt Manager for easy sharing and managing,
automatic install/uninstall of Re-Volt content.
- Better AI, better difficulty and better physics.
